Bulk editing components
In aP Pro, you can simultaneously edit multiple objects:
-
Components within a single container: an assembly, a roll-up, or a comparison.
-
GCDs for a specific component.
Changing the Primary Process Group
To change the Primary Process Group for multiple components included in an assembly, a comparison, or a roll-up, aPriori must be able to retrieve the GCDs required to calculate the cost. To make it possible:
-
In Direct Integration mode, all components must be loaded into the CAD system.
-
In CAD-Independent mode, all components must be file-connected.
You can simultaneously edit only those values that the multiple objects have in common.
For example, to bulk edit the material for a set of components, the selected components must be set to the same facility because materials are associated with a particular facility.
Similarly, to bulk edit the machines for a set of components, the selected components must be set to the same routing because machines are associated with a particular routing.
To select multiple objects:
-
Ctrl-Select: Hold down the Ctrl key and click on each object.
-
Shift-Select: Select an object, hold down the Shift key, and select a second object.
-
Left-mouse-Select: Hold down the left mouse button, select an object, and drag the cursor to select multiple objects.
